Today I had (on the end of a list of things to service) an Onan Microquiet 4K which would crank but not start. اليوم كان لي (على نهاية قائمة من الاشياء لخدمة (onan microquiet 4k الذي من شأنه ان الساعد ولكن لم نبدأ. In trying to start it, I could smell the unmistakable smell of old gasoline. في محاولة لبدء ، أنا يمكن ان تخطئ فان الراءحه رائحة البنزين القديم.
The gasoline we buy today has a very limited “shelf life”, a couple of months and it gets, for lack of a better term, “funky”. شراء البنزين ونحن اليوم لديها محدودة للغاية "عمر" ، بعد شهرين وتحصل عليه ، لعدم وجود مصطلح افضل ، "غير تقليدي". The RV engine is usually not troubled much by bad gas- it might run rough until it is used, but a generator has such a small carburetor that varnish and plugging up is a common occurrence. RV فان محرك وعادة لا المضطربه الكثير من سوء الغاز - وربما حتى البعيد ومن الخام المستخدمة ، ولكن لديه مثل هذه المولدات صغيرة المازج ان الصبغ وحتى سد غالبا ما يحدث.
The use of a fuel additive such as Stabil is generally recommended. استخدام المواد المضافه للوقود مثل stabil عموما الموصى بها. I know of people who swear that it causes harm, but I have used it frequently, and as long as I use it with fresh gasoline, I have never had a problem- and it has saved me hours of cleaning. وأنا أعرف من الناس من اقسم انه يضر ، لكن لا بد لي انها تستخدم في كثير من الاحيان ، وطالما استخدمه جديدة مع البنزين ، أنا عندي مشكلة على الاطلاق - وانه قد انقذ لي ساعات من التنظيف.
But… what if you didn’t use a fuel stabilizer? ولكن… ما اذا كنت لا تستخدم وقود مثبت؟ For this Onan, I did what I often recommend, and disconnected the fuel line at the generator, hooked a short piece of fuel line to it and ran it in to a 5 gallon gas can in which I had a very concentrated mixture of gasoline and Seafoam fuel treatment. Seafoam is a product that I don’t sell, but have used for several years, and it has never let me down. لهذا onan ، فعلت ما يوصي في كثير من الاحيان ، وقطع خط الوقود فى المولد ، hooked قصير قطعة من الوقود في خط واحد على انه يتعارض مع والي أنه في 5 غالون الغاز التي يمكن ان كان لي مركزة جدا وخليط من البنزين Seafoam معاملة الوقود. With todays problem generator, it took me several tries to get the treated fuel up in to the carb, then I let it sit for an hour, tried it again and it barely started. مولد مشكلة مع هذا اليوم ، وقد كلفني وتحاول عدة للحصول على معاملة الوقود في لcarb ، ثم اسمحوا لي ان اجلس لمدة ساعة ، وحاولت مرة أخرى وأنها بالكاد بدأت. I then let it run for a bit, which should get the Seafoam treated fuel filling the carb. واسمحوا لي بعد ذلك انه يسعى لترشيح نفسه للقليلا ، الذي ينبغي ان احصل على seafoam معاملة الوقود لسد carb. I will now let it sit overnight and tomorrow it should start and run like a champ. واسمحوا لي الآن أن اجلس بين عشية وضحاها وينبغي لها ان تبدأ غدا وتشغيل مثل البطل.
The alternative to this would be either rebuilding or replacing the carburetor, which would be hundreds of dollars- yet a full can of Seafoam is under $6 (listed to treat around 20 gallons- I put it in 5 gallons to clean the generator). ان البديل لهذا من شأنه أن يكون إما إعادة بناء او استبدال المازج ، الذي من شأنه ان يكون مئات الدولارات حتى الان - يمكن كاملة من seafoam هو اقل من دولار و6) المذكورة لعلاج حوالي 20 غالونا - أضع في 5 غالونات لتنظيف المولد).
Seafoam is also said to be a fuel stabilizer, but I have not ever used it for that, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness in that use, but as a cleaner, it’s great! Seafoam ويقال ايضا ان يكون وقود مثبت ، لكني لم تستخدم على الاطلاق لذلك فانه ، حتى لا أستطيع التعليق على فعاليته في هذا الاستخدام ، ولكن كما انظف ، انها كبيرة!

Hello. مرحبا. Came over via a link from Xandros forum. جاء عن طريق وصله من xandros المنتدى. I’m an ex-fulltimer. انا بحكم fulltimer. Ten years on the road pulling a Blazon down south running corps contracts and the like. عشر سنوات على طريق سحب الوسام أ اسفل جنوب فيلق ادارة العقود وما شابه ذلك. Anyway this Seafoam sounds like some good stuff, first I’ve ever heard of it and I’ve tore down more than one gen carb thru the years due to gumming up. على أي حال يبدو مثل هذا seafoam بعض الاشياء الجيدة ، وأنا كنت اول من اي وقت مضى وانه استمع من هز لقد قمت اسفل اكثر من العميد carb خلال السنوات بسبب جومينج. As an RVDA Master Certified technician, I can tell you that the best and most sure fire way to store a generator for an extended period is to run it out of gas. Rvda بوصفها شهادة ماجستير تقني ، استطيع ان اقول لكم ان أفضل وأكثر ثقة من النار وسيلة لتخزين مولدا لفترة طويلة هو لاداراتها من الغاز. All that is required is to disconnect or pinch the fuel line off to the generator, then run the unit until it dies. كل ما هو مطلوب هو قطع او القرصه الوقود من خط الى المولد ، ثم شغل وحده حتى يموت. At this point, remove the fuse from the generator (ususally located near the start switch on the genset). وعند هذه النقطه ، وازالة الصمامات من المولد (ususally الواقعة قرب بداية التحول عن genset). This keeps anyone from trying to crank the genset again until it is ready to be used. هذا يجنب أى شخص من محاولة الساعد فان genset مرة اخرى الى ان يتم جاهزه للاستخدام. If you try to crank the generator even for a short period, the fuel pump will run and fill the carb, which defeats the purpose. اذا كنت تحاول الساعد المولد حتى لفترة قصيرة ، ومضخه الوقود وسيتم تشغيل ملء carb ، التي تتعارض مع الغرض. Also, I have never heard of fuel stabilizers harming a generator. ايضا ، لم أسمع ابدا ايذاء احد المثبتات وقود المولدات.

I’ve used Sea Foam for a couple of years. لقد استعملت رغوه البحر لمدة عامين. I was given an abused 5 year old Honda 1000i that output about 200 watts. انا اعطي للايذاء من العمر 5 سنوات 1000i هوندا أن الناتج حوالى 200 واط. Pulled the muffler and poured 4 ounces in and sloshed around. سحب الخمار وسكب 4 اوقيه في مخاض وحولها. Poured 2 oz in crankcase, 5 oz in gas tank. سكب في علبة المرافق اوز 2 ، 5 في أوز الغاز للدبابات. It killed bugs for a hundred yards around but after an hour or so it produced 650 watts. البق لانه قتل مائة يارده ولكن بعد حوالى ساعة أو نحو ذلك أنها انتجت 650 واط. Changed oil several times and kept Sea Foam in fuel to finish cleaning muffler. تغيير النفط عدة مرات ، واستمرت في رغوه البحر في تنظيف الوقود للانتهاء من الخمار. Unit now produces 650-700 watts now but burns oil due to worn out rings and valve guides. وتنتج وحده الآن واتس 650-700 الان ولكن بيرنز النفط بسبب تهالك شبكات وصمام ادلة.
Best way to store genset is to drain fuel, blow out carb and fuel lines so ALL fuel is gone. افضل وسيلة لتخزين genset هو استنزاف الوقود ، وضربه بها carb الوقود وخطوط الوقود كل ذلك ذهابه. Change oil, remove spark plug, pour in 1 tbsp oil and replace sparkplug. تغيير النفط ، وازالة سد العجز شرارة ، في 1 ملاعق كبيرة من اجل النفط ويستعاض sparkplug. Gently rotate engine until it is just on the power stroke. تدوير محرك برفق الى ان يتم فقط على السلطة والسكته الدماغيه. Both valves are close so no moisture can get in. Tape off starter pull cord so unit cannot be rotated. اغلاق الصمامات على حد سواء وبالتالي لا يمكن الحصول على رطوبه فيه بدء الانسحاب من الشريط حبل ذلك وحده لا يمكن ان يكون بالتناوب.

As a generator tech I agree that draining the fuel out of a small engine is a good way to store it for the winter but with RV generators moisture will collect in the generator stator and rotor area and cause expenxive damage to the electrical parts- stator insulation breakdown being the most frequent problem - staring the units up once a month at least will dry it out and prevent corrosion of the internal electrical components and putting in fuel stabilizer in the gas will prevent alot of the problems associated with old fuel.I have repaired gensets with this kind of damage with as little as five hours of use that were not started and run and just left sitting. بوصفه مولدا التقنيه وانني اوافق على ان استنزاف الوقود من محرك صغير هو وسيلة جيدة لتخزينه لفصل الشتاء ولكن مع رطوبه RV المولدات الكهرباءيه في جمع المولد الاميركية ومنطقة الدوار وتسبب اضرارا لexpenxive الاجزاء الكهرباءيه - العزل الاميركية ويجري توزيع هذه المشكلة الاكثر شيوعا -- التحديق الوحدات حتى مرة واحدة في الشهر على الاقل وسوف الجافه بها ومنع التآكل الداخلي للعناصر الكهرباءيه ووضع مثبت في وقود الغاز يمنع الكثير من المشاكل المرتبطه باصلاح القديمة fuel.i gensets مع هذا النوع من الاضرار على النحو مع اقل قدر من خمس ساعات من الاستخدام التي لم تكن بدأت للتو والبعيد وترك الجلوس.
