Whith the up coming change over from Analog to Digial TV. most of the covererts being sold are not Analog pass thru. What this means is when the digital portion converter is turned off it will pass the analog Tv signal. Now comes the fun the FCC or the rest of the industry didn't tell you, only the Main TV stations are required to switch over to Digital transmissions. Their remote broadcast stations (transponders) are not required to at this time to switch over and no time has been set. What this means to us RV people is while we are traveling and you want to or have to receive a off the air TV signals from a remote broadcast, the standard digital converter will not work. Also keep in mind you maynot know if Tv staion you are looking for to receive is Bradcasting thru a remote (transponder) or not. There are a couple of these Digital converter that are Analog pass thru and they are advitized as such. there is a list of these at www.ezdigitaltv.com.
